Compassion is at the core of one of our most important company values: treating others with dignity and respect. From our New Deal philosophy to our efforts to improve the consumer experience with innovative technologies, we set ourselves apart from others in the industry by offering financial services focused on the consumer’s experience, not just their balances.
To assist us with this critical part of our mission, we hire people with the same kind of values. Part of how we maintain a thriving culture of compassion is by encouraging our employees to extend their enthusiasm to organizations in their communities— helping the causes that touch them the most. We do this by reimbursing up to 40-hours a year for volunteer time annually, enabling staff to express their compassion through acts of service without negatively impacting their schedules or pay.
Every year we are astonished and humbled by our employees’ dedication to their communities.
In 2021, despite the challenges created by an ongoing pandemic, our staff donated nearly 300 hours to community organizations. We saw participation in wildlife cleanup projects, like events for Solve Beach and Maurie Jacobs Park in Eugene, Oregon. Employees assisted Food for Lane County, Meals on Wheels, community food shelters, and even harvested at the Springfield Youth Farm which provides fresh produce to food banks in the surrounding area. Some dedicated their time to local schools, reading to children or teaching English as a second language. And of course, many chose to participate in events put together by United Way, one of our corporate charity partners.
We are so proud of how our staff models what we feel is the most essential part of our internal values, in their daily lives. They are helping us positively transform the A/R industry while positively impacting the lives of others and that is the best we could ask for from our team.
A sincere thanks to all the compassionate folks who keep us inspired and striving towards our goals here at Professional.
